You will probably retire on this money. Have you ever looked at it?
Superannuation is the largest sum most Australians will ever own, and the one they examine least. It arrives without being asked for. It's held somewhere you didn't choose, in an option you didn't pick, and something is deducted from it every year that never touches your bank account.
None of that is a failure of discipline. It's a system designed so that doing nothing is the default, and doing nothing is invisible.
The Super Health Check is twenty minutes with your fund's website open. You answer four questions, in your own handwriting, about your own money: how many accounts you have, what you're paying, what you're invested in, and what insurance is coming out. At the end you have a single page with your actual numbers on it — which is more than most people have ever had.
WHAT'S INSIDE
The four checks, in the order that makes each one easier than the last
Fill-in fields for your own figures — balances, fees in dollars, insurance premiums, investment option
What Payday Super changed on 1 July 2026, and why your super should now land within 7 business days rather than next quarter
A fee translator — what a percentage actually costs you, in dollars, at your balance
The 2026–27 reference numbers — the 12% super guarantee, the $32,500 concessional cap, the $500,000 carry-forward threshold
How to read the free government tools — myGov, the ATO's YourSuper comparison tool, and the APRA performance test result
The insurance warning that matters most before you consolidate anything
A one-page summary to keep, and a prompt to do it again in twelve months
A PAGE FROM IT
This is one real page. Nothing is blurred, and there's no second version behind the email form.
WHO IT'S FOR
Anyone who has had more than one job, has never opened a super statement, or has a quiet suspicion they're paying for something they've never seen.
Especially useful before a career change, a redundancy, parental leave, or turning 50.
WHAT THIS ISN'T
It isn't advice about which fund to be in, what to invest in, or whether to keep your insurance. Every one of those is a personal decision about a financial product, and every one of them depends on circumstances a worksheet cannot know. This helps you find out what's true right now. The decisions stay entirely yours.
Where should we send it?
One email, and it's yours. No account to make, and the link doesn't expire.
